tv or not tv?

that is the question.  granted, i have never plopped my 3 month old down in front of the tv and don't intend to any time soon, she is drawn to it.  she comes by it honestly - jonathon and i are both tv junkies! she loves lights and tv is the ultimate light show for her.  everything i've read says babies shouldn't watch tv until they are 2! the problem is not that i want my baby to watch tv - it is that i am lazy and selfish and i like to watch tv while she's eating. but she is constantly trying to find it - she tries to turn her head while she eats and ends up watching instead of eating!  she also immediately turns to the tv while i'm trying to burp her. silly girl. so i am feeding her in her room more or listening to music while she eats instead of watching tv. and we always keep it off during her playtimes (which are usually in her room anyway). just one of the many parental sacrifices, right?
