burt's bees: baby bee diaper ointment - i love this stuff! promise has never actually had diaper rash, but i put cream on her at night because she goes 12 hours without a diaper change and i want to protect her cute little butt! i love that its natural so i'm not putting too much crazy stuff on her sensitive baby skin and i love the smell! however, i have 2 tubes of desitin and will probably use them up before buying more burts... not sure yet.

mam pacifiers - we tried soothies and avent before my friend tiffany suggested mam pacis. they were a hit. of course anything that goes in her mouth (which is pretty much everything) is a hit, but she is able to hold these in much easier. and they're cute.

gripe water - i had never heard of this stuff before i had a baby, but i seriously don't know what we would have done without it the first few months! promise had terrible tummy pains and this stuff really helped her. we tried little remedies brand as well as collic calm, but my favorite is baby's bliss brand (from target, of course) because it isn't as sugary/sticky and it doesn't have to be refrigerated so it travels well.
almond milk - i had to cut dariy because that was a major part of promise's tummy trouble. let me tell you - this was a major sacrifice for me. major. i love milk. and cheese, and yogurt, and cottage cheese, and cheese. did i mention that i miss cheese? anyway, i at least still get to enjoy my cereal because i love almond milk! i get the unsweetened kind so it has very few calories and lots of flavor!
fenugreek - 3 pills 3 times a day! yikes!
i will probably write more of these type posts - that way i can look back with the next baby and remember what worked the first time around. and i always love input and suggestions from other moms!

We loooooove target diapers. Both babies pee through pampers and pampers and target are the only ones we have tried. The twins go to teresa's every tues and they always pee through the pampers by Wed morn. Isn't it do funny how people get so hooked on "their" brands. And, I agree, target is my favorite place on earth. Have you gotten the red card!!?
ReplyDeleteno, what is the red card?? i usually put her in a size 2 diaper at night (she wears size 1 during the day) and we don't have too many leaks - never pee, just some crazy exploding poop from time to time! i didn't dislike the target diapers fit - its the polka dots. they're so cute, but they show through a lot of her clothes and it looks goofy. haha.
ReplyDeleteYou're so funny. That would bother me too but now that she wears big girl clothes it isn't a problem.....when all they wore were baby clothes like onsies they were still in pampers. The red card is a debit card through target and you get give percent off your total purchase every time no matter what. If you spend as much as I do there it adds up!
ReplyDeleteOops. Five percent.
ReplyDeletei'm a pampers snob, too. but not the dry max kind - they suck.
ReplyDeletemam pacis are also my favorite.
hey, you can donate to a school from your redcard at Target. Jere Whitson would appreciate your donations!
ReplyDeleteAnd for the record, used cloth diapers the first time around-- neither child would us a pacifier and I love target, too!
