Swish, Squish, Squash

Promise and I mostly listen to "Sunday School" music when we are in the car together (when I am in the car alone I listen to country music). The past week or so we have been listening to the DonutMan CD "Master Builder".  She is still rear-facing in her car seat, but we have one of those mirrors on her headrest so that I can see her in the rear view mirror. There is a song the Potter and the clay and in the song it says "the Potter took the clay and squish, squish, squish!"  During this part of the song she would start waving her hands around violently and laughing. I couldn't figure out why, but it is hilarious.

A couple of days later we were playing with her toy school bus and singing "The Wheels on the Bus". Light bulb! The wipers on the bus go "swish, swish, swish". And she waves her arms like crazy. I cracked up!  It is so funny when I have those revelations of what she is thinking. That girl is so funny - and so clever! I am amazed that even though she is hearing the word wrong, she transferred the hand motion for that word to a completely different song.

I should probably give her some playdough and teach her what "squish" means and show her a new hand motion. But it is SOOOO cute to watch her flailing about back there and giggling at herself. I can't bring myself to correct her.
